For purposes deemed convenient and other pertinent effects, the National Civil Aviation Institute, in coordination with the Ministry of Health within the framework of the latest measures of the Council of Ministers held on 29 June, in which the ALERT situation was maintained, hereby clarify the following:
REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO SAO TOMÉ E PRINCIPE
The obligation to present a negative PCR test, printed on paper, performed up to 72 hours before the flight date.
On trips to Sào Tomé and Principe, negative PCR tests are required for children from 5 years of age onwards.
In the case of trips between the islands of São Tomé and Principe, it is still mandatory to carry out the rapid tests in both directions, carried out up to 48 hours before the departure date.
REQUIREMENTS AT THE EXIT OF SÃO TOMÉ AND PRINCIPE
Until July 9, 2021, negative PCR tests are required , printed on paper and carried out up to 72 hours before the flight date.
As of July 9, 2021 , it is required to submit a rapid negative antigenic test (recognized by the European Medicines Agency) carried out up to 48 hours before the flight date or negative PCR carried out up to 72 hours before the flight date, to all passengers according to the entry rules of each country of destination. In this case, it will be up to passengers and airlines to verify the requirements of the type of tests accepted in the country of destination.
The minimum age for testing is defined by the country of destination, and passengers and airlines are responsible for verifying the requirements in the country of destination.
